Special Care:
Pond setup is preferable with good
filtration. Other wise frequent partial water change is required,
since they require well oxygenated water. Avoid mixing with big
fishes. Plants are required in their setup. Most of the time they
spend in top layer of the tank, hardly they come to the bottom of the
tank.
Sexing
Females are bulkier and males are
slimmer, have white edged fins. By watching the fish you can identify
the males by their attitude of displaying fins to the females.
Breeding :
Minnows are egg
scatterer.
