Temperament
Peaceful. But territorial while
breeding. Angel fish tend to eat small slow moving fish, so better to
avoid and fish which can fit in to their mouth. And a big no to
shrimps in angel tank when not planted heavily.
Special Care:
Planted tank is preferable. Other wise
frequent partial water change is required.
Sexing
Very difficult better to get a group
and leave them to pair on their own.
Breeding :
Angel fish are egg
layers, if you maintain a good water quality breeding is easy, if you
have a pair of fish. They are good parents so you can leave the eggs
with the parents and make sure other fishes in the tank will not
bother them otherwise remove other-fishes or remove the pair to
breeding tank before laying their eggs. Once the eggs are hatched
after a day remove the parents and feed them with infusoria or brine
shrimp hatch-lings or some fry food.
